Tekweni Security Services cc. was established in March 1997 by Augustine Ndaba and David Robinson, after they had worked together as senior managers for more than 12 years. While Augustine has now retired, David is still active in the day to day running of the business.

SECURITY PERSONNEL SELECTION CRITERIA

Our security personnel are professional. In order to provide the best security solutions, our personnel all have the following:

  • No criminal record
  • An assessment which involves checking for good bi/ multilingualism with a proficiency in English and good general knowledge. 
  • Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority registration certificate.  
  • A probation contract that is extendable on performance basis.
  • Please note that specialised training can be given if required.

Tekweni Security Services: why we're a good fit for your business?

Our Selection Process:

  • Having a Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (SIRA) registration certificate is only the first requirement in the process of being selected as a Security Officer at Tekweni Security Services
  • Applicants also have to complete an in-house examination, which assesses their numerical skills and proficiency in English as well as General Knowledge.
  • Successful completion of the exam will then lead to an interview with the Operations Manager, who will assess the applicant’s personal presentation, which includes cleanliness, physical health and mental attitude.
  • Finally, thorough background checks, which include previous work references, a check on the SIRA website to verify SIRA registration and personal references, are conducted before the applicant is offered a position. 
  • The applicant is then offered a one-month fixed-term contract during which his performance will be carefully monitored. If their performance is satisfactory, further contracts may be offered.

Client Focused Management

  • Before placing a Security Officer on site, the Operations Manager will meet with the client and formulate a basic job description, which will outline the client’s expectations of the Security Officer
  • The Operations Manager and Inspectors will monitor the Officers performance against the job description and make recommendations to the client on where, or how they think the security function can be improved.
  • If the Security Officer arrests any person for any crimes committed against the client, Tekweni Security Services’ management will deal with all aspects of the case, including taking statements, liaising with the SAPS, Courts, etc. It will not be necessary for the client to become involved in these time-consuming matters.
  • Tekweni Security Management is vastly experienced in Industrial Relations matters and can give sound advice in regards to disciplining employees and the procedures to be adopted for disciplinary hearings. We also retain the services of a professional IR consultant.
  • Tekweni Security Services is owner-run and managed. Management is on call 24 hours a day, to resolve problems that may arise and to assist you in any way that we can.
We build Relationships

Our relationship philosophy:

You will not be tied down to a long-term contract at Tekweni Security Services. We believe that a client will continue to use and retain our services if they believe that they are getting value for money. In the event that the relationship must be terminated, both parties are required to offer one month’s notice.
